How to use Brovi pigments Guide

Brovi Pigments: How to Choose PMU Pigments Correctly and Achieve Predictable Healed Results

One of the most common reasons for unpredictable healed results in permanent makeup is not technique or equipment — it’s a lack of understanding of pigment formulation and behavior in the skin.

Brovi is one of the few PMU brands built as a complete, logical system, where each pigment line serves a specific purpose instead of trying to be universal. This article explains how Brovi pigments work, how they heal, and how to choose the right formula for different skin types, ages, and techniques.

Brovi Essential (Hybrid Line): High Saturation and Strong First-Session Retention

The Brovi Essential line is a classic hybrid (organic-based) pigment system designed for high initial saturation and strong color retention. When implanted correctly, pigments from this line can retain up to 90% of color after the first procedure.

This line performs best on younger, normal skin and is widely used for powder brows and hairstroke techniques. However, because of its organic component, early removal or overly deep implantation (especially within the first 3–4 months) can cause the pigment to shift warmer.

All shades in the Essential line are structured from light to dark, making color mixing intuitive and predictable. The key to success with this line is light, superficial implantation. Excessive pressure can lead to unwanted warmth during healing.

Brovi Plus: Hybrid Pigments Optimized for Mature Skin

Brovi Plus is an advanced hybrid line with a higher pigment concentration and finer particle size. Its main advantage is color stability after healing, without shifting into gray, blue, or violet undertones.

This line is particularly effective for:

  • mature skin,

  • soft, natural techniques,

  • faster procedures with fewer passes.

Because of the higher concentration, Brovi Plus implants easily without aggressive depth. The dilutor is used only to adjust density, not to “fix” the pigment.

Brovi One (Mineral Line): Maximum Stability and Skin Safety

The Brovi One line consists of fully inorganic (mineral) pigments designed for maximum predictability and long-term stability. These pigments fade evenly and softly over time, without unexpected color shifts.

Brovi One is suitable for:

  • all skin types,

  • sensitive or reactive skin,

  • beginners who need more forgiveness in implantation,

  • clients who may require future correction or removal.

These pigments typically do not require frequent refreshes — touch-ups are often needed no earlier than 12 months. The healed effect is natural, soft, and never overloaded.

Brovi XOXO Lip Line: High Coverage Without Trauma

The Brovi XOXO lip pigments are hybrid formulas with extremely high coverage and up to 99% color retention when applied correctly. Despite their vibrancy, they remain stable and do not shift into unwanted tones when implanted superficially.

Thanks to the fine particle size, the pigments implant easily, reducing skin trauma and procedure time. Saturation is controlled through layering and depth, not by changing colors. The dilutor plays a key role in achieving soft, watercolor-style lip results.

Brovi Correctors: Targeted Tools, Not Universal Fixes

Brovi correctors are designed for specific corrective tasks, not for random mixing. They are available in hybrid and mineral versions and must always match the pigment system being used.

They are intended for:

  • neutralizing unwanted undertones,

  • adjusting intensity,

  • correcting previous work.

A critical rule: never mix mineral and hybrid correctors together, as this directly affects pigment behavior and healing.

Dilutor: What It Can and Cannot Do

One of the most common mistakes is misusing the dilutor. In the Brovi system, the dilutor is used only to reduce pigment concentration, not to:

  • revive dried pigment,

  • prevent gray healing,

  • change undertone behavior.

Diluting a pigment reduces all components, not just black. Color stability comes from the formula itself, not dilution.

Why the Brovi System Delivers Predictable Results

Brovi is not a random collection of colors. It is a structured pigment system, where:

  • each line has a clear purpose,

  • each pigment has predictable healing behavior,

  • each correction step follows logical formulation rules.

That is why artists who understand and follow the Brovi system experience fewer surprises, fewer corrections, and more consistent healed results.
