The Story Behind Its Creation

The technology was conceived by Bogdan Meskhi, the owner of BROVI, who has been pivotal in pigment development since the company's establishment in 2018.

CarbonCut originated from an unexpected outcome during the production of the BROVI ONE inorganic pigment series. While testing equipment for pigment grinding and ink mixing—which wasn't their primary production method at the time—they used two shades: warm light brown and warm dark brown. The mixing process unexpectedly resulted in two very dark brown shades that were almost indistinguishable from each other.

This unsatisfactory result led to a critical insight: by reducing the concentration of black pigment by half and reprocessing the pigments through grinding and mixing, they could achieve the desired shades. The outcome was a stable pigment with a significantly lower black pigment concentration compared to other manufacturers' products.

How It Works

BROVI's laboratory discovered a unique property of black pigment: the finer it's ground, the more it saturates the entire volume of the ink. When the black pigment concentration is similar to that in universal tattoo inks, achieving lighter brown shades becomes impossible.

The Advantages

  • Prevents Gray Healing Results: Excessive black pigment can cause healed eyebrows to appear gray. With BROVI pigments containing less black pigment, there's insufficient black to cause this grayness.
  • Stable Color: A more uniform distribution of black pigment within the suspension ensures maximum color stability.
  • Faster Pigment Penetration: The finely ground pigments allow for quicker absorption into the skin.
  • Even Fading: The pigment fades uniformly over about a year, eventually disappearing without leaving uneven patches.

Potential Drawbacks

The healing results may not meet the preferences in regions like the Middle East, where darker shades are often desired. To accommodate this, BROVI offers the darkest brown shades such as Bitter Chocolate (BROVI) and Deep Dark Brown (BROVI ONE).

Modifications to the Organic Hybrid BROVI Series

Following the development of CarbonCut technology, BROVI's main pigment series underwent two significant modifications:

  • Alpha Modification (α-modification): Implemented a 50% reduction in black pigment concentration across all brown shades in the BROVI line compared to the 2022 versions.
  • Beta Modification (β-modification): Changed the base of all BROVI pigments by incorporating copolymers and increasing the glycerin concentration. These pigments also contain only 50% Carbon Black.
